A family in Bonyangama Village Kisii county has vowed to honor their dead kin after the restrictions on social interactions is lifted. Wilson Onyango's family will honor him by holding a ceremony celebrating his life. The family held a funeral service hours after the death of their kin to comply with the government’s directive to put off all social gatherings to stop spread of the COVID-19’ virus in the country. It took the intervention of local chiefs and the police to restrict movement of mourners, allowing a few family members to proceed with the burial.
