Let your foundation do all the work! Learn to understand the undertones of foundation in your kit and use them to help you determine your client's undertone. Also in this video: How to swatch and what to look for when swatching foundation on your client's skin. Please note: The swatches demonstrated on my skin needed to be deeper to show on camera, if I was doing this on a client with a skin tone like mine I would usually lighten each shade selected (slightly) using a white adjuster to save time during the adjusting process and get the foundation closer to my client's shade.
