Jadeveon Clowney’s price tag has dropped since hitting the free agent market but nevertheless, remains unsigned. According to Dan Sileo, both the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks have made offers to Clowney that are “near what Clowney thought he was going to get.” What that figure is remains unknown, however, many Eagles fans are split on adding the veteran edge to the roster after his dirty hit on QB Carson Wentz.
Carson Wentz spoke to the media about the prospect of adding Jadeveon Clowney and offered up his support for whatever decision GM Howie Roseman chose to make. Wentz went on to say that he respects Clowney as a player and if he makes the Eagles better, he’s all on board.
Carlos Hyde is another name that has been linked to Philadelphia in the NFL rumor mill. Rumor has it that the Eagles are looking to add a veteran back who can catch balls out of the backfield and they have their eye on Hyde. Carlos Hyde could fill the void of Jordan Howard as a big, physical back and has consistently put up big numbers. Hyde rushed for 1,070 yds with 245 carries and 6 touchdowns last season.
