“We were told one month ago that these incredible restrictions on our freedom had to last six months, at least,” Mr Bolt said.
“As it turns out, and as I've pointed out weeks ago, that early modelling was wildly, wildly wrong”.
It comes as premiers across Australia have begun to lift some of the strict social distancing bans which have had significant social and economic ramifications.
Mr Bolt said the way Australian politicians have addressed combating the disease has been “horrendously expensive”.
He said panic has been spread which has seemingly been based on information gathered from “dodgy data”.
