Archaeologists in Mexico have confirmed the existence of hidden tunnel and a 50-foot (15 meter) diameter chamber beneath the Pyramid of the Moon in modern-day San Juan Teotihuacán, northeast of Mexico City.

The long tunnel was first discovered in June 2017 running beneath the Pyramid of the Moon which is the second-largest structure in the ancient city (the largest is the Pyramid of the Sun).
According to a 2017 report in the International Business Times , the tunnel, which is about 33 feet (10 meters) deep, “Extends from a central square known as the Plaza de la Luna to the nearby pyramid.”
