
Town Team Movement, in partnership with the City of Kalamunda have conducted engagement sessions with local primary schools in High Wycombe to gain their insights, opinions and artistic impressions regarding the High Wycombe community values. These include the cultural background and ancestry of local story teller and indigenous artist Aurora Abraham, their daily activities within the community, what they see at the local parks and how they travel to school and activities within the community. looking to collaborate with High Wycombe residents to share their stories about the suburb of High Wycombe and be part of the decorative art treatments design process.
The City has been awarded funding under the Western Australian Bicycle Network Grants (WABN) Program(External link) to design and deliver improved bicycle routes in High Wycombe. The project will install shared paths that will connect students, residents and workers in the vicinity of High Wycombe to the new train station.
Based on the engagement sessions with primary school students in High Wycombe, a number of themes and ideas were developed are now being put to the High Wycombe community to vote for their favourite idea! View the themes and vote by taking our online survey.
