Cutting a Variety of Shapes from 2 1|2in strips using the MM100 Scrap,Stash & Strip Templates

Cutting a Variety of Shapes from 2 1|2in strips using the MM100 Scrap,Stash & Strip Templates All quilters have a stash, we like variety , yes? Included in our stash are Jelly Rolls, those irresistible selections of 2 1/2in strips. Years ago I decided there had to be a handy way to cut into these strips to create a diverse set of shapes from which we can piece our quilts. I designed the MM100 template set and it easily cuts six different shapes from 2 1/2in strips. Of course, you can also cut your stash into 2 1/2in strips, or cut into your leftovers and scraps from other projects.

The solid lines on the templates are the finished seamlines. The dotted lines are used to line up with the raw edges of the strips. Holes are at seam junctions, to make it easier to line up inset seams, or joining two 45 degree angles.

I have a wide variety of patterns written for these template sets, from table runners to full size quilts. However, if you prefer to design your own quilts, I also have calculated the number of pieces of each shape that can be cut from one 2 1/2in strip. This will make it easier to work out your own requiremnts to make a quilt.
