BLACK TEA CAKE: ABSOLUTE SUCCESS FOR ACHIEVING A SUPERB CAKE FULL RECIPE FOR BLACK TEA CAKE
Ingredients


The dry ingredients

2 ½ cups flour

¼ cup cacao powder

1 tbsp cinnamon powder

1 tbsp baking powder

1 lemon (the skin only)



The liquid ingredients

4 eggs (at room temperature)

1 ½ cups sugar

1 cup darkly brewed black tea (warm)

1 cup grape seed oil

1 tsp vanilla

½ cup walnut (optional)



Directions


PREPARATION


Choose a large bowl for the dry ingredients:

Thinly grate the skin of 1 lemon into the bowl

Sift the powdered ingredients before adding them into the bowl to achieve a fluffy cake

Sift 2 ½ cups of flour, ¼ cup of cacao powder, 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder, and 1 tbsp of baking powder

Mix the dry ingredients, thoroughly and set aside


Prepare a large bowl for the liquid ingredients:

First, crack 4 eggs- (at room temperature!)- into the bowl

Add 1 ½ cups of sugar

Whisk the sugar and the eggs for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved, completely

Add 1 cup of darkly brewed and warmth(!) black tea, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 cup of grape seed oil while whisking continuously

Spare the last drops of grape seed oil for oiling the baking tray

Once the liquid ingredients are thoroughly mixed, combine them with the dry ingredients

Whisk all the ingredients for 3 to 4 minutes, until you achieve a smooth and creamy mixture

Meanwhile, coat the inner surface of the baking tray with the grape seed oil
Place the walnuts on the bottom of the baking tray

Then, gently pour the cake mixture into the baking tray



COOKING


Preheat the oven to 370 °F or 170 °C.

Bake the cake for 1 hour, and then turn off the oven
Let the cake REST IN THE OVEN for at least 30 minutes.
If you can, let it cool down completely so the cake doesn’t crumble during serving

Take the cooled cake out of the oven; now, it is ready to serve!!



SERVING

Invert the baking tray onto a serving plate
I recommend keeping the cake in an airtight container to preserve its freshness for a long time!!
